ZORGINA vocal ensemble

From 1993 to 2006, Rebecca Bain (Canada), Ruth Eiselsberg (Austria) and Ellen Santaniello (USA) performed together as ZORGINA vocal ensemble, captivating audiences all over the world with their performances of early and modern vocal music.

ZORGINA's sumptuously expressive sound, engaging style, and innovative concert programming won the trio international critical acclaim. The three singers combined their expertise in the widest range of musical genres with sound scholarship in early music practice to create performances of historical music with a distinctly modern appeal, performances that could "transcend the boundaries of time" (Österreichischer Rundfunk).

The fullest measure of their skills found voice in "Shout, sister, shout!", a concert program that featured a remarkable 900-year span of music by and about women, and showcased the limitless range of ZORGINA's stylistic savvy and vocal skills.
