Rebecca
Bain (Montréal, Canada)
performed with several early music and folk music ensembles in Canada
before earning an advanced degree in medieval music under Dominique Vellard
at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, in Basel, Switzerland. She is the
founder and artistic director of Ensemble Les Fumeux (Montréal,
Canada) and has toured and recorded with a number of early music ensembles,
among them Mora Vocis (France), Sequentia (Germany), Sarband (Germany),
and the improv cross-over ensemble nu:n (Canada/Germany).
Ruth Eiselsberg (Vienna, Austria)
began her performing career in Austrian folk music and dance ensembles
and, after getting a Ph.D. in law, shifted her focus to new music and
early music. She has performed as vocalist and keyboardist with the free-improvised
music group XX Music (Switzerland), the fusion group T.F.G. (Austria),
and composes and arranges for 4KANT (Austria), an a capella quartet that
she co-founded.
Ellen Santaniello (Providence, RI, USA)
earned a degree in Medical Biology from Brown University and went on to
a performing career that has included jazz, early music, folk music, buffoon
theatre, pop music, live radio cabaret, oratorio, and art song. She holds
an MA in vocal performance from the Longy School of Music, Boston, has
an active teaching schedule, and has toured and recorded with the early
music ensembles Oni Wytars (Germany), Ensemble Unicorn (Austria), Duo
Cantilena (USA), and The Boston Camerata (USA).
